Event Details
This 4 week course seeks to help participants with an integrated psychological and spiritual approach to understand and manage their internal struggles like people-pleasing, self-blame, perfectionism, procrastination, anger, lusts, addictions and other challenges more effectively. Participants will be taught the basic skills and knowledge of the Internal Family System (IFS) theory, a psychological approach that addresses difficult sub-personalities or parts within each person’s mental system. Like members of a family, a person’s inner parts can take on extreme roles or subpersonalities when they are hurt, rejected, or traumatized, manifesting themselves as dysfunctions such as mental health or addictive behaviours. This integrated course seeks to equip participants in knowing how to lead hurting parts into fellowship with God and invite Jesus to heal those hurtful and traumatized memories. Participants will have opportunities to observe and practise the learned knowledge and skills to bring healing on themselves first and to help others in due course.
